Meeker Sheepdog Trials This town holds one of Colorado's most unique events: The Meeker Classic Sheep Dog Championship Trials, usually held the first Wednesday through Sunday after Labor Day. Smoking River Pow Wow The Smoking River Pow Wow is a fairly new annual event for the community. It is considered a healing period between Meeker and the Ute Tribe due to the challenging history between the two entities. The event itself provides a venue of interaction between the two communities of the White River Valley and the Uintah/Ouray Reservation. A Buffalo Feast is also provided to guests of the event. and Bank Robbery Re-Enactment, Ranch Rodeo, Pro Rodeo, 5K
Footrace, Pancake Breakfast, Community BBQ, Watermellon
